The new Huber Engineered Woods (HEW) manufacturing facility will be located on more than 400 acres and will feature some of the most advanced processes and technologies available for sustainable, manufacturing operations. The mill will produce a wide range of products and will significantly increase HEW’s ability to service the Western and Midwestern housing markets.

Huber originally acquired its 50% ownership interest in MAGNIFIN as part of the purchase of the Martinswerk operation from Albemarle in 2016. Based in Breitenau, Austria, MAGNIFIN has been producing and selling premium magnesium hydroxide (MDH) products since 1991.

J.M. Huber Corporation and SolAmerica Energy announced today that construction is set to begin on a 1.8 megawatt (DC), ground-mounted solar array located at the Huber Engineered Materials (HEM) Fire Retardant Additives Marblehead facility in Quincy, Illinois. This effort is part of the state-administered Illinois Shines incentive program supporting the development of new solar energy generation throughout the state.
