The National Association of Corporate Directors New Jersey Chapter (NACDNJ) announced on September 21 that J.M. Huber Corporation will be a recipient of an inaugural Director of the Year Award. These awards recognize directors of public, private and non-profit boards who have made valuable contributions to the boards on which they serve and advance exemplary board leadership. The awards will be presented at a formal ceremony on Thursday, May 9, 2019.

Huber will be honored as the Private Company Board of the Year. This award recognizes the strong governance and leadership from our Board of Directors. Several Huber Family members serve on the Board, which is largely comprised of independent and highly experienced directors. Each portfolio company has its own dedicated Management Board, also made up of independent directors and Huber family members.

Huber’s family and corporate governance structures were previously honored with the prestigious IMD-Lombard Odier Global Family Business Award for 2013 and the 2018 Kellogg Family Enterprise Leadership Award.

The company has maintained a presence in New Jersey since the 1920s, with its headquarters in Edison since 1965. Huber remains committed to New Jersey, with philanthropic initiatives and environmental conservation efforts. Over the years, J.M. Huber Corporation and the Huber family have donated over 150 acres of land in Monmouth County to the Monmouth Conservation Foundation, known today as Huber Woods Park.
