Vivek Dhir
Vivek Dhir joined the J.M. Huber Corporation as Executive Vice President of Corporate Strategy & Business Development in February 2018. Dhir serves on the Huber Management Council and Management Board of Huber Engineered Materials. His responsibilities include overseeing Huber’s Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) function, leading implementation of future transactions for Huber, and working closely with the Huber Board and leadership team on longer-term strategies, future growth plans and in evaluating and deploying major capital projects.
With more than 20 years of experience with business-to-business industrial companies, he has focused on helping companies achieve transformational growth. Over the course of his career, he has enabled businesses to enter emerging markets through acquisitions, joint venture partnerships and OEM alliances. He has driven profitability through new product innovation and commercial acceleration, and cultivated active M&A pipelines that lead to bolt-on acquisitions as well as adjacencies and new platforms. Dhir has lead teams working from the US, Singapore and Thailand, and has extensive business experience in North America, China, India, Southeast Asia, the Middle East and Europe.
Prior to joining Huber, Dhir was the Corporate Vice President of Strategy, Marketing & Business Development at SPX Corporation, Senior Director of Marketing & Growth for Siemens Industry Inc.’s Drive Technologies division and has held other leadership positions in growth strategies, marketing and general management at Siemens, McKinsey & Company and the GP Group, a Thai conglomerate.
Dhir also serves on the Board of the Crane Group, a fourth generation family-owned investment and operating company headquartered in Columbus, Ohio.
Educated in both India and the US, Dhir holds a Bachelors degree in Engineering from Pondicherry University in India. He also has a Masters degree in International Business from the Indian Institute of Foreign Trade in New Delhi as well as a MBA from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
