Peter Gibbons

Peter Gibbons brings more than 20 years of international experience in leading manufacturing and supply chain efforts for consumer and specialty chemical businesses to his role on the  CP Kelco Management Board. He currently serves as Group President, Enterprise Operations for 3M and has responsibility for nearly 200 manufacturing and distribution sites and over 50,000 employees.

Prior to joining 3M, Gibbons was CEO of TireHub from 2018 to 2021, a new joint venture ‘last mile’ distributor between Bridgestone and Goodyear. As CEO, Gibbons focused on growing TireHub into a leading tire distributor in the United States and took the business from launch to profit in three years.

Previously, Gibbons served as Executive Vice President & Chief Supply Chain Officer for Mattel, Inc., responsible for product development and supply across all Mattel brands. Gibbons was with the world’s largest toy company from 2013 to 2018.

Prior to joining Mattel, Gibbons was Executive Vice President of Global Supply Chain Operations for Starbucks. He joined the company in 2007 and was responsible for the supply of all of the products that contribute to the Starbucks experience, at every Starbucks around the world.

Gibbons also worked at the executive leadership level in Europe, Latin America and North America at ICI, a global chemical company. From 1989 to 2007, he took on roles of increasing responsibility at ICI’s architectural and industrial paints and coatings business.

Gibbons has a Bachelor of Science in Physics from the University of Edinburgh and an MBA from Strathclyde University in Glasgow.
