Kathleen Shelton
Kathleen Shelton brings 30 years of experience in innovation to the management board of Huber Engineered Materials.
Kathleen was Executive Vice President and Chief Technology Officer of FMC, a global agricultural sciences company, bringing innovative crop protection solutions to growers around the world, until April 2023.
In her tenure as Chief Technology Officer, FMC was awarded Best R&D Pipeline in 2018 and 2020 and Best Biological Product in 2020 at the Crop Science Forum and Awards. Kathleen delivered a diverse portfolio of molecules for crop protection that includes the best-selling insecticide in the world, as well as the first new mode of action herbicide discovered in over 35 years, along with a portfolio of biologically diverse products. She also drove Research and Development initiatives for improved return on investment focusing on metrics, culture and optimal organization of the organization.
Prior to her transition to FMC, Kathleen led the DuPont Crop Protection Research and Development Organization, commercializing three global pesticide products.
Kathleen held leadership roles that spanned regulatory affairs, product stewardship, new product introductions, as well as toxicology and sustainability, working across businesses and functions in DuPont. She led DuPont’s European Regulatory Affairs organization, while working in an international assignment in Geneva, Switzerland, from 2007-2011.
Currently, Kathleen is an Advisor to Radicle Growth Ventures, bringing her experience and perspective to both potential investments as well as mentoring leaders of the Radicle Growth portfolio.
She serves on the Delaware State University Foundation Board as well as the Board of the Science History Institute, to continue to inspire and encourage students to choose and thrive in STEM careers.
