Jérôme Béra

Jérôme Béra joined the Management Board of Huber Engineered Materials (HEM) in May 2023, bringing nearly 30 years of leadership experience in the specialty chemical and food ingredient industries. Since 2023 he has served as Senior Vice President and General Manager of the Food Gums platform in CP Kelco, where he is responsible for the overall financial performance and strategic direction of the platform and its three product lines: pectin, carrageenan and citrus fiber. 

Prior to his current role, he was Senior Vice President of Marketing & Growth at CP Kelco from 2017-2023, where he was responsible for product line management, strategic growth programs/segments, regional marketing, marketing communications, branding, customer experience management and regulatory affairs activities. 

He became Senior Vice President of Global Commercial at CP Kelco in 2013, where he was instrumental in designing and implementing an emerging markets strategy that led to development of sustainable business in China and the Asia Pacific region, as well as a stronger presence in the Middle East. Before this, he was Vice President & General Manager for the Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region, a position he assumed in 2010. 

Béra joined CP Kelco in 1995 and held roles of increasing responsibility in Sales, Distributor Management, Key Account Management, Product Line Management, General Management and Marketing. 

Béra holds a degree in Chemical Engineering from the Ecole Nationale Supérieure de Chimie de Montpellier (France) and a Master of Science in Polymer Chemistry from the University of Birmingham (UK), along with an International General Management degree from ESSEC Business School in Paris, France.
