A fourth generation Huber family member, Christopher W. Seely brings a unique perspective to the Management Board of Huber Engineered Materials (HEM) based on his 36-year career as a pilot with major airlines.
Seely participated in Huber’s Corporate Director Training Program, which prepared him for Board positions. Prior to being elected a voting director on the HEM Board in 2014, Seely served as a non-voting family director on the HEM Board starting in 2011.
Seely’s years of experience in the cockpit provide valuable insights into the importance of decision-making and safety. Before his retirement, he was most recently a pilot with American Airlines. Over the course of his career, Seely also piloted passenger flights for AirTran Airways, Trans World Airlines (TWA) and Atlantic Southeast Airlines. In addition to serving as an airline Captain, he held several management positions with Atlantic Southeast Airlines, including Chief Pilot.
From 2006 to 2012, he served as the Board President of the Georgia Ovarian Cancer Alliance. Seely also served on the Board of the Huber Family Office, which was established by a group of Huber family shareholders.
Seely holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology from Knox College in Galesburg, Illinois.
