Brian Henry brings expertise in Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A), compliance and corporate governance to the Management Board of Huber Engineered Materials (HEM), which he joined in January 2021. Henry currently serves as Vice President (VP), Assistant General Counsel and Assistant Secretary for J.M. Huber Corporation, a position he has held since 2019. His responsibilities include legal support for Corporate functions, such as Corporate Strategy & Business Development, Finance, IT, Tax, Treasury and Environment, Health, Safety & Sustainability (EHS&S). In this capacity, Henry provides legal support for corporate financings, M&A activities and serves as Secretary for the EHS&S Committee of the Huber Corporate Board.

With more than 20 years of experience in corporate law, cross-border M&A and domestic and foreign regulatory and compliance matters, Henry has successfully closed acquisitions, dispositions and joint ventures involving public and private companies across Europe, Asia, Africa and the Americas in both legal and commercial business development roles.

Prior to joining Huber, Henry was Executive Counsel of M&A at GE, with primary responsibility for transactions related to GE Power. Before joining GE, Henry held several corporate executive roles over nearly a decade at Walmart and Walmart Canada, including serving as VP & General Counsel, International Compliance and VP, International M&A with responsibility for Walmart’s international division with operations in over 26 countries.

Henry began his career with law firms Simpson Thacher in New York and Skadden in Chicago.

Henry holds JD and Master of Public Policy degrees from the University of Michigan and a bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Wabash College.
