David Young
David Young joined the Huber Board as a director in 2006. A member of the Boston Consulting Group (BCG) for almost 20 years, Young has served in a wide range of capacities, including Senior Vice President and Director. His experience spans a vast array of industries, business issues and countries around the world.
Young was BCG’s Global Practice Area Leader for Industrial Goods. His specialty is of great value to Huber’s diverse portfolio as Young focused on global companies that manufacture industrial products and operate multiple businesses. He assisted clients across a broad spectrum of strategic initiatives, including value creation, globalization, improvements in operating performance and organizational redesign.
Currently, Young is the Chief Operating Officer for World Vision International, a global humanitarian relief, development and advocacy organization of 40,000 employees operating in 96 nations. World Vision International works for the sustainable well-being of 150 million of the world’s most vulnerable children and responds to over 70 large-scale humanitarian emergencies annually.
A U.S. citizen, Young earned his MS in Systems Engineering from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and a BS/BA from Mount Union College.
